Morocco's King Appoints First Female Prime Minister, Fatima Ezzahra El-Mansouri

Morocco's King Mohammed VI has appointed Fatima Ezzahra El-Mansouri, mayor of Marrakech and leader of the PAM party, as the country's first female prime minister, following the party's legislative election victory. This marks a historic first for Morocco and a significant political shift, though the king retains ultimate authority over key portfolios. The appointment signals potential policy continuity with the palace, but the extent of her autonomy remains uncertain.
