Polish FM urges president to leverage Trump ties for permanent US base

Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski publicly tasked President Karol Nawrocki with using his claimed relationship with Donald Trump to secure a permanent US military base in Poland, asserting the government has fulfilled its part. This marks a notable political move, potentially shifting responsibility for a key defense objective onto the president amid ongoing US-Poland defense cooperation. The outcome remains uncertain, hinging on US political dynamics and bilateral negotiations.
