Tigray rebels advance on Afar, threaten Djibouti trade corridor

TPLF forces have pushed into Afar, capturing Erebti and moving toward Afdeera, threatening the Djibouti corridor that handles nearly all of Ethiopia's trade. At least 150,000 people are feared displaced in Afar. The offensive gives rebels leverage over the federal government, though the extent of territorial control remains unverified.
