Limburg waste per capita exceeds Flemish average by 70 kg in 2025

OVAM data shows Limburg collected 490 kg of waste per capita in 2025, 70 kg above the Flemish average, driven by higher selective collection of construction, demolition, green, and wood waste. Residual waste volumes are reportedly similar, indicating the gap stems from recycling streams rather than consumption. This is a routine regional environmental data release with no immediate market or geopolitical implications.
