Danube flow rates remain critically low due to upstream precipitation deficits

Despite localized rainfall in Romania, the Danube river is experiencing historically low flow rates caused by a significant precipitation deficit in upstream catchment areas. Meteorologist Bogdan Antonescu indicates that regional rainfall is insufficient to offset the broader hydrological drought affecting the river's upper basin.
