Ecuador confirms over 1,000 candidates for November 29 sectional elections

Ecuadorian electoral authorities have finalized the list of over 1,000 candidates for the upcoming sectional elections. Under national law, these candidates now receive immunity from prosecution and are prohibited from resigning until the final results are proclaimed.
