Estonian Chancellor of Justice Ulle Madise nominated for presidency

Seventy-five members of the Riigikogu have formally nominated Ulle Madise as a presidential candidate, exceeding the threshold required for election. The parliamentary vote is scheduled for September 2 to succeed incumbent Alar Karis, who is not seeking re-election.
