Russian Governors Klychkov, Konovalov Decline State Duma Mandates

Governor of Oryol Region Andrey Klychkov and Head of Khakassia Valentin Konovalov, both KPRF members, have formally refused their State Duma deputy mandates for the ninth convocation, as registered by Russia's Central Election Commission. A third refusal comes from KPRF Presidium member Nikolai Vasilyev. This is a routine procedural step for sitting governors who win parliamentary seats but choose to remain in regional executive office, with no indication of political rupture.
