Death of last Slovak National Uprising artilleryman František Švidraň

František Švidraň, the last surviving artilleryman of the 1944 Slovak National Uprising, has died. His passing marks the end of a direct link to the anti-Nazi resistance movement that remains a foundational element of modern Slovak national identity.
