Belgium provides state guarantee for Umicore germanium supply chain in DRC

The Belgian government is backing a pre-financing agreement between Umicore and the Société du Terril de Lubumbashi (STL) to secure future germanium deliveries. By utilizing the state-backed insurer Credendo, Belgium is mitigating financial risks associated with Umicore's technology transfer and supply operations in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
