West Nile virus detected in avian population in Brussels

West Nile virus has been confirmed in three crows and one magpie in the Laken and Schaarbeek districts of Brussels. While the virus is circulating in the local bird population, authorities emphasize that human complications remain rare. The situation is currently under monitoring by Leefmilieu Brussel.
