Conservation project revives endangered Vale van Haspengouw chicken breed in Belgium

A local historical society in Kinrooi is distributing free chicks to private individuals to prevent the extinction of the Vale van Haspengouw breed. The initiative requires participants to maintain breeding pairs to ensure the survival of the lineage, which has been nearly extinct since World War I.
