Grenade kills teen on IDF trip near Lebanon border; origin under investigation

A 15-year-old student was killed and about 20 others injured when a grenade exploded in a student's bag during an ORT Ma'alot school trip near the Israel-Lebanon border. The IDF is investigating whether the grenade was left by security forces or was an unexploded Hezbollah ordnance, and whether the trip was properly approved. This incident highlights the persistent hazard of unexploded ordnance in the border area, with the investigation's outcome determining responsibility and potential operational implications.
