Second plane crash in Minas Gerais within hours; military aircraft down near Ipatinga

A military police aircraft crashed near Ipatinga Airport in Santana do Paraíso, Minas Gerais, about five hours after another plane crashed in Belo Horizonte. The Corpo de Bombeiros is responding; casualties and cause are unconfirmed. The proximity of two crashes in the same state raises questions about aviation safety or possible systemic issues, but no link is established.
