US Deploys Second Carrier, 10,000 Troops to Persian Gulf Amid Iran Tensions

The Pentagon is sending an additional aircraft carrier and 10,000 sailors and Marines to the Persian Gulf, expanding US force posture and giving commanders more options for potential strikes on Iran. The deployment signals preparation for possible escalation, though no attack order has been issued. This follows prior US military buildups in the region, but the scale suggests a heightened readiness for conflict.
