Nigerian forces kill ISWAP commander in Ondo forest operation

Nigerian security forces killed ISWAP commander Abdulssamad Ohide during an operation in a forest near Owo, Ondo State. The killing is a tactical setback for ISWAP in southwestern Nigeria, though the group's broader presence in the region remains. The operation signals continued military pressure on militant networks outside their traditional northeastern stronghold.
