Chile Mayor Sichel Urges Government to Restore Funding for Student PC Program

Ñuñoa Mayor Sebastián Sichel publicly appealed to the Chilean government to restore funding for the Junaeb 'Yo elijo mi PC' program, which provides computers to students, after the 2027 Budget proposal omitted explicit funding for TIC Scholarships. The program's fate is uncertain pending budget negotiations. This is a domestic political development with potential implications for education policy and social programs.
