Novi Sad official arrested for embezzlement of public funds via fraudulent projects

Serbian authorities arrested an individual identified as J.Č. for allegedly misappropriating over 7 million dinars through 19 non-existent projects. The investigation focuses on the abuse of a responsible position within a citizens' association to defraud the municipal budget of Novi Sad.
