ISIS Claims Deadly Attack on Iraqi Police Near Kirkuk

ISIS claimed responsibility for an attack on Monday that killed an Iraqi federal police officer and wounded others southwest of Kirkuk. The attack indicates a continued insurgent presence in the oil-rich region despite territorial losses. The claim is unverified but consistent with recent patterns of low-level ISIS activity in Iraq.
