Saudi envoy declares Bab el-Mandeb cleared of Houthi remnants

Saudi envoy to Yemen Mohammed Al Jaber announced that the Bab el-Mandeb strait has been cleared of Houthi remnants, calling it a victory for Yemenis and Arabs. The claim is unverified and likely refers to a shift in control, but the strait's status remains contested. If confirmed, this would mark a significant change in regional maritime security and Houthi influence.
