Police locate kidnapped NYSC members in Imo, hold fire to protect hostages

Nigerian police have located the prospective NYSC members abducted on the Owerri-Onitsha Road in Imo State but are refraining from a rescue strike to avoid endangering the hostages. The situation remains fluid, with the police prioritizing negotiation over force. This reflects ongoing insecurity in Nigeria's southeast, where such abductions have become a recurring pattern.
