Türkiye's first astronaut urges peaceful space use, cooperation at IAC 2026

At the International Astronautical Congress 2026, Türkiye's first astronaut Alper Gezeravci called on nations to prevent space from becoming a conflict platform, emphasizing peaceful use and international cooperation. The statement reflects growing concerns over space militarization but is a diplomatic appeal rather than a concrete policy shift. It signals Türkiye's positioning in space governance discourse.
