US Navy, Coast Guard seize 1.2 tons of cocaine off Oaxaca; Semar totals 90+ tons

US Navy and Coast Guard interdicted 1.2 tons of cocaine off Oaxaca, contributing to Mexico's Semar having seized over 90 tons of cocaine in maritime operations. The seizure underscores ongoing transnational drug trafficking in the Eastern Pacific, with Mexican security forces playing a key role. The operational significance is moderate, reflecting sustained counter-narcotics efforts rather than a strategic shift.
