Romanian President Condemns Intimidation of Journalist by Georgescu Supporters

Romanian President Nicușor Dan publicly condemned attacks on journalist Cristian Tudor Popescu, calling them 'unacceptable' and warning against using political disagreement as intimidation. The incident follows supporters of Călin Georgescu singing 'Eternal Remembrance'—a funeral chant—outside Popescu's residence, escalating political tensions ahead of elections. This marks a notable intervention by the president to defend press freedom amid rising political polarization.
