US-Ukraine Divergence Emerges Over Energy Truce Announced Without Kyiv's Prior Knowledge

A truce covering Russian and Ukrainian energy facilities was announced without Kyiv's prior knowledge, revealing a divergence between US and Ukrainian positions. The dispute between the American and Ukrainian presidents has escalated, with Ukraine apparently not consulted on the terms. This suggests potential friction in the US-Ukraine alliance and raises uncertainty about the truce's implementation and broader ceasefire prospects.
