Bosnia miners lose health certificates as mine debt tops 175M KM

The Health Insurance Institute of Zenica-Doboj Canton (ZDK) has stopped verifying health certificates for over 5,000 miners after the Federation of BiH government and Elektroprivreda BiH failed to pay outstanding contributions by the September deadline. The mine's debt exceeds 175 million KM, with unpaid contributions spanning 15 years, leaving miners without access to healthcare and raising risks of labor unrest in the coal sector.
