Bladder cancer study: metastases seed further metastases, explaining lethality

Analysis of 104 bladder cancer tumors reveals that metastases can themselves spawn new metastatic colonies, acting as secondary dissemination hubs. This challenges the traditional linear model of primary-tumor-only spread and may explain aggressive disease progression. Findings are preliminary and based on a single study.
