NASA and European agencies are deploying Sentinel-6 Michael Freilich and Sentinel-6B satellites to measure sea level and atmospheric parameters, aiming to improve prediction of rapid cyclone intensification. This is a continuation of existing Earth-observation programs, not a new capability.
