Minas Gerais Court acquits Alexandre Kalil of improbity charges, restoring political eligibility

The 5th Civil Chamber of the TJMG unanimously overturned an improbity conviction against former Belo Horizonte mayor Alexandre Kalil regarding the failure to demolish unauthorized barriers in the Mangabeiras III neighborhood. The ruling restores Kalil's political rights, removing a legal barrier to his pre-candidacy for governor of Minas Gerais.
