Salles Drops São Paulo Senate Bid, Backs Derrite and Prado

Ricardo Salles withdrew from the São Paulo Senate race six days before the first round, after meeting with Governor Tarcísio de Freitas, and endorsed Guilherme Derrite and André do Prado. This consolidates the conservative bloc behind two candidates, potentially reshaping the Senate race dynamics. The move signals a strategic alignment within the state's right-wing coalition.
