Conservationists propagate seeds from last known wild Dendroseris neriifolia specimen

Researchers have successfully reproduced seeds from the final remaining wild specimen of the critically endangered Dendroseris neriifolia tree on Robinson Crusoe Island. The species faces near-extinction due to invasive species and habitat degradation in the Juan Fernández archipelago. This effort represents a critical intervention to prevent the total loss of the species' genetic diversity.
