Prominent ex-politicians warn against Red-Green-Red coalition in Berlin

Former senior politicians from SPD, Greens, and CDU have issued an appeal warning against a Red-Green-Red coalition in Berlin, citing concerns about shared fundamental convictions on rule of law and democracy. This is a domestic political intervention ahead of potential coalition talks, reflecting intra-party and cross-party opposition to a left-wing alliance. The appeal's impact on coalition formation is uncertain.
