Nigeria: Tinubu launches 2027 re-election bid, APC campaign council set for October 14

President Bola Tinubu will formally kick off his 2027 re-election campaign in Kaduna on October 24, with the APC campaign council to be inaugurated on October 14. This signals the start of Nigeria's electoral season, though the political landscape remains fluid with potential opposition coalitions. The move is significant for domestic politics and could influence policy direction ahead of the vote.
