US to Conduct First Military Execution in 65 Years, First Firing Squad Since 1945

The United States is preparing to execute the Fort Hood massacre author, marking the first military execution in 65 years and the first by firing squad since 1945. The execution will be broadcast live, a rare and controversial move. This signals a significant shift in US military justice policy and may set a precedent for future cases.
