Chilean Senator Accuses US Ambassador of Interference Over Magallanes Remarks

Chilean Senator Iván Moreira (UDI) publicly rebuked US Ambassador Brandon Judd for comments on the Strait of Magallanes, framing them as foreign interference and challenging the government to respond firmly. The incident marks a notable escalation in bilateral tensions over a strategic maritime chokepoint, though the ambassador's exact remarks remain unspecified. This could strain US-Chile relations and signal domestic political posturing ahead of elections.
