Swedish state museums propose merging four into two, closing two Stockholm venues

The National Museums of World Culture proposed consolidating four museums into two, closing the Museum of East Asian Art and the Museum of Mediterranean and Near Eastern Antiquities in Stockholm. The proposal, submitted to the government, cites long-term sustainability. This is a domestic cultural-policy development with no direct market impact.
