UK officials urge English cricketers to skip Afghan T20 over women's rights

British officials and campaigners are pressuring English players to withdraw from an Afghanistan Cricket Board T20 tournament, citing the Taliban's restrictions on women. The appeal leverages moral and reputational concerns rather than formal sanctions. This reflects ongoing Western diplomatic pressure on Afghanistan over human rights, potentially affecting sporting ties.
