Ahmed Dudayev Elected Chairman of Chechen Parliament

Ahmed Dudayev, a senior Chechen government official, has been elected chairman of the republic's parliament, as announced by regional leader Ramzan Kadyrov. This consolidates Kadyrov's control over the legislative branch, continuing a pattern of loyalist appointments. The move is routine in Chechnya's political landscape, with no immediate external implications.
