Chilean Comptroller initiates audits into Codelco regarding SQM partnership and internal financial practices

The Contraloría General de la República has invoked exceptional oversight powers to investigate state-owned Codelco. The audits target the legality of international consulting contracts related to the SQM lithium partnership, as well as allegations of financial overestimation and irregular bonus payments.
