UASD joins national earthquake drill, tests preparedness

The Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo (UASD) participated in a national earthquake drill, activating alarm systems across its faculties, the Instituto Sismológico Universitario, the Biblioteca Pedro Mir, and the Torre Administrativa. The drill tests institutional preparedness for seismic events in a country prone to earthquakes. The effectiveness of the drill and any lessons learned remain to be assessed.
