Brazil authorizes ride-hailing and taxi drivers to purchase used electric and hybrid vehicles

The Brazilian government has authorized ride-hailing and taxi drivers to purchase used vehicles produced from 2024 onwards, provided they are electric, hybrid, or flex-fuel and cost up to R$ 150,000. This policy aims to modernize the transport fleet while incentivizing the adoption of lower-emission vehicles in the professional sector.
