Rio gubernatorial candidate Ruas distances from convicted Castro, targets Paes

In a debate, PL candidate Douglas Ruas proposed a permanent anti-crime cabinet with federal participation and sought to link former governor Cláudio Castro, convicted by the TSE, to opponent Eduardo Paes. This is a campaign strategy to shed association with Castro, under whom Ruas served as Secretary of Cities, while attacking the poll leader.
