Garo abandons charging boxes, cuts jobs; shares rise

Swedish electrical equipment maker Garo announced it will discontinue its unprofitable Garo Entity charging box product family and lay off about 20 employees in Gnosjö. CEO Tobias Byfeldt cited a lack of long-term profitability. The market reacted positively, lifting shares, as the move removes a drag on earnings.
