National protest disrupts waste collection in Brussels, 98% missed in Saint-Josse

A national protest on October 9 severely disrupted waste collection in Brussels, with white bag collections missed in several municipalities, most notably Saint-Josse-ten-Noode (98% uncollected), Koekelberg (90%), and Woluwe (70%). Mechanized collections for commercial waste were also affected. Make-up rounds are planned but contingent on available resources, indicating ongoing operational strain.
