Argentine agricultural sector opposes government proposal to make IPCVA contributions voluntary

The Mesa de Enlace and meat industry representatives have formally rejected a government proposal to transition the Instituto de Promoción de la Carne Vacuna (IPCVA) funding from mandatory to voluntary contributions. The move threatens the financial viability of the entity, which has collected over $8 billion ARS this year to promote beef exports and domestic consumption.
