HK siblings placed in temporary care after parents arrested for child ill-treatment

A 10-year-old Hong Kong girl filmed carrying heavy beer bags will be placed in temporary care with her siblings after welfare assessments deemed it unsuitable for them to return home. The parents were arrested on suspicion of ill-treating a child, and the children remain hospitalized for health checks. This marks a formal child-protection intervention following a publicized incident.
