Norwegian child abuser appeals 15-year preventive detention sentence

A 34-year-old former sports leader from Lyngdal, convicted in March of extensive child abuse over 16 years and production of illegal material, will have his appeal heard in the Agder Court of Appeal from 27 October to 6 November. He contests a rape-by-threat charge and argues the preventive detention sentence is excessive. The appeal outcome could set precedent for similar cases in Norway.
