Romania automotive retail turnover grew 0.8% in first five months of 2026

Romania's automotive and motorcycle trade turnover saw a marginal 0.8% increase year-on-year through May 2026, driven by vehicle and parts sales. The growth was partially offset by a contraction in maintenance and repair service activities, according to official data from the National Institute of Statistics.
