Dark Energy Data Points to Possible 'Big Rip' End of Universe

A study led by ICE-CSIC suggests magnetars, previously considered rare, could account for roughly half of all neutron stars. The estimate is based on modeling and is not yet corroborated by direct observation. If confirmed, it would significantly revise understanding of stellar evolution and magnetic field generation.
