Hirosaki Castle relocation project completed in Japan

Engineers successfully relocated the 360-ton Hirosaki Castle structure to facilitate seismic reinforcement of its stone foundation. This complex engineering operation preserves a rare example of Japanese feudal architecture in the Tohoku region.
